Mosquito Control Campaign and Fogging

Project Overview

The Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in the Valley and Desert regions is tasked with eliminating and controlling mosquitoes in several areas by employing contractors in this field. Numerous complaints have been raised by local leaders due to the mosquito outbreaks following seasonal rains (May-June-July) each year, resulting in stagnant water and ponds where mosquitoes breed. According to the Ministry of Health, there were 41 malaria cases recorded between 2022 and 2024.

The project aims to:

  1. Eliminate mosquitoes and prevent their return.
  2. Conduct several fogging campaigns to combat the spread of mosquitoes.
  3. Prevent diseases caused by mosquitoes and flies that have recently spread in the villages.
  4. Prepare an emergency team to eliminate mosquitoes and remove breeding grounds as soon as they appear.
